Frank Leonard Jones Jr., aged 65, passed away on November 16, 2024, in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Born on December 3, 1958, in Glens Falls, New York, Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and a respected member of his community.
Frank graduated from South Glens Falls High School in 1977 and attended Adirondack College. His career was multi-faceted, as a Shipwright at Rybovich and American Yachts, then serving as a Security Officer at various locations. He also contributed his technical skills as the Assistant Technical Director at the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater in Jupiter, Florida, and as a Scenic Carpenter at Adirondack Scenic in his hometown.
As Captain in the National Guard, Frank served with distinction and brought the same level of dedication and leadership to his civilian life. His love for his country was paralleled by his passion for community service, notably as a den leader and an Eagle Scout.
Frank's personal interests were deeply rooted in the outdoors and craftsmanship. An avid hunter and skilled woodworker, he also actively promoted the adoption of greyhounds and kittens, showing his compassionate spirit.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Jones; daughter, Lindsey Pollock, married to John Pollock; son, Dustin Jones, married to Tala Jones; grandchildren Johnny, Harvey, and Emma; brothers John Jones (Amy), David Jones (Margaret), Jeff Jones (Sheryl); and sister Pamela Neal. His mother, Jean Jones, and numerous friends and relatives also survive him. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank Jones Sr.
The services to honor Frank’s life will be held at Aycock- Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, located at 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL, on Saturday, November 23, 2024. The viewing will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by the ceremony from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The burial will occur at Riverside Memorial Park, 19351 SE County Line Rd, Tequesta, FL, at 2:30 p.m.
