Clarence A. Kopicko “Joe”, 87 of Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter, FL passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Jupiter Pavilion/Trustbridge Hospice Care Center. He was born in Gardner, MA on June 8, 1930; the son of the late Adam and Elizabeth (Jaillet) Kopicko.
Joe was educated in the Gardner, MA school system, graduating from Gardner High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Trieste, Italy and was honorably discharged in 1952. He was employed with the Smithsonian Institute for many years and for Pratt Whitney where he retired in 1991 as photo optics specialist. He enjoyed bowling and golfing in his golden years along with traveling on many Caribbean cruises
He is predeceased by wives, Barbara (Davenport) Kopicko, and Virginia (Wark) Kopicko; siblings, Joseph, Alex, Mary, Laura, and Anne and his longtime companion/fiancée, Katherine Blanchard.
He is survived by a nephew, Michael Rosa of Salem, NH and his wife Eneida; three beloved nieces, Jillian, Allison and Madison Rosa; as well as many close friends who called him Uncle Joe.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at AYCOCK-RIVERSIDE FUNERAL AND CREMATION CENTER, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Clarence’s name to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
