Christopher G. Grimes

He was preceded in death by his mother and survived by sister Kirstin (Heger) and father Garrett

Chris was was born on June 26, 1968 in New York, NY to Garrett Grimes and Mary Grimes (nee Dempsey)

Chris grew up in Scarsdale, NY and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary where, upon graduation, he was awarded academic scholarships to Fordham Prep, Iona Prep, Salesian, and Archbishop Stepinac eventually choosing to attend Fordham Preparatory School.

Chris attended Fordham University, majoring in Finance and Accounting before pursuing a 20+ year career in trading and finance with some of the largest hedge funds, banks and brokerages on Wall Street.

Chris helped more than 300 people pass their financial licensing exams through a company he setup beginning in 2010 until diagnosis and he truly loved this work.

Chris loved watching and playing golf, basketball, baseball, football among others sports and was prodigious in “bar sports” pool and darts. He also discovered and enjoyed hiking, and climbed Camelback Mountain just prior to his diagnosis.

He loved his faithful doggie Romy a Brussels Griffon who, at 14, survives beyond him.

Chris’ remains will be cremated and spread in his favorite spot on Juno Beach where he can enjoy the beautiful sunrise each day, and hear the laughter of people enjoying themselves at his favorite beach.
