Robert was born Feb. 2, 1938, in Caribou, Maine to Robert and Yvonne Thompson.
Robert was an ironworker for Local Union #172 in Columbus, Ohio for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife Emma Thompson, of Alexandria. His children, Bobby Thompson, of Newark, Laurie Thompson, of Alexandria, Linda Dixon, of Alexandria, Lisa Thompson, of Alexandria, Lorna Thompson, of Florida; several grandkids and great-grandkids.
A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, November 18, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 225 North Main Street, Johnstown, Ohio 43031. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home.
Robert will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery, 105 Maple Dr., Alexandria, OH 43001.
