Marie Alice Brown, 89, of Johnstown, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital. She was born on January 22, 1931 in Germansville, PA, a daughter to the late Charles and Birdie (Shoemaker) Bear. Marie is survived by her loving children, Melissa (Michael) Knapp and Todd Brown; grandchildren, Katie (Josh) Steinmetz, Sidney (Chris) Van Balen, Carter Berkhouse and Ellie Berkhouse; sister, Anna Lou Oswald and many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Richard P. Brown and siblings, Arlene Oliphant, James F. Bear and Walter C. Bear. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Johnstown Presbyterian Church, 81 S. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the church will Pastor Kevin Heckathorn officiating. Interment will be at Green Hill Cemetery.
