Alice Jane Piper

Alice Jane Piper, 79, of Johnstown, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital. She was born on May 21, 1944 in Columbus, OH, a daughter to the late Herb and Mary Jane (Mann) Thompson. Alice is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Richard; children, George Scott (Tammy), Yvonne (John) Scott, Vicky (Bruce) Jordan, Jason (Theresa) and Mary (Andy) Lear; grandchildren, Kristi, Melissa, Olivia, Laurel (Tito), Shae, John “J.R.” (Chelsea), Nicholas, Jessica (Jeff), Raschelle (Zack), Adam (Hannah), Chloe and Dalton; siblings, Nancy Baughman, Herb Thompson, Mary Jane (Fred) Kuehner and numerous great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her siblings, Mike Thompson and Linda Elmore and granddaughter, Lacey Scott. Honoring the family’s wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023 at CROUSE-KAUBER-FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. Memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday with Pastor Roger Neibarger officiating.
