Albert Ross “Toy” Keffer, 91, of Westerville, Ohio passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 27, 2022. He was born February 4, 1931 in Uhrichsville, Ohio to the late Edward and Hazel Keffer. Toy was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 and truly loved his country. He retired from Beazer Homes, but was an auto mechanic most of his life. He was also the Service Manager for Dick Hill Ford in Johnstown, Ohio. Toy was considered a “Jack of all trades”, as he did odd jobs for most anyone who needed help. He truly loved to work. In his free time, he took pride in maintaining his lawn and garden and made frequent visits to Amish country, where he grew up and had very close friends. He also took great care of his dog, Benji. Toy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 34 years, Nancy. He is survived by his children, Greg (Sharon) Keffer, Randy (Cindy) Keffer, Cheri (Jay) Hottinger and Scott (Tina) Moss; grandchildren, Brad (Karen) Keffer, Adam Keffer, Rachel (T.J.) Manus, Ben (Nicole) Keffer, Savannah (Daniel) Ranz, Heather Hottinger, Jayme Hottinger and Joshua Smith; great-grandchildren, Penelope Keffer, Jackson Keffer, Melani Phillips, Maxwell Manus, Rigby Manus, Lucas Keffer and Quinn Keffer; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family, friends, and loved ones. Family and friends may call from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Crouse-Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH 43031. A memorial service will immediately follow beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Albert’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
