Rella Sue Jones Zabala, age 86, of Piney Flats, Tennessee passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024 at the Abundant Christian Living of Johnson City. She was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Fred Leland Jones and Mearl Ray Jones.
Sue was a member of First United Methodist Church in Johnson City. She played oboe with the Johnson City Community Band for many years and with several other local orchestras. She retired from Bristol Tennessee City Schools.
She is survived by one sister, Doris Welch; cousin, Betty Gouge; one niece, Joanna Cyrier and husband Steve; and great niece, Ryleigh Cyrier.
A Private Interment will be held in the Garden of the Last Supper at Monte Vista Memorial Park.
