Nickie Elizabeth Aldridge

Nickie Elizabeth Aldridge, age 79, of Waynesboro, Virginia passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at the Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN. She was born in Weirton, WV, a daughter of the late Virgil Martin and Adeline Ford Martin.

Mrs. Aldridge owned with her husband the Tree Streets Inn Bed and Breakfast of Waynesboro for nearly 20 years. She was very active in the community including the Waynesboro Women’s Club, the Noland Heights Garden Club and the First Baptist Church Waynesboro. Previously she was a business owner in Maryland where she raised her children. She was passionate about community service, gardening and animals.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, William Aldridge; three daughters Christine Blakely, Sherri Councill (Keith), and Michele Aldridge; four grandchildren Matthew Councill (Tracie), Elizabeth Jordyn Blakely, Katelyn Councill Smith (Troy) and Trystan Davies; two great-granddaughters, Vera Mae Councill and Sophie Fae Grace Councill.

Formal services will be scheduled in the future.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Waynesboro-Augusta SPCA.
