Lon Cook

Lon was born on November 3, 1952, in Cincinnati, OH. He was the son of the late Lonnie and Carolyn Cook, who welcomed him into their loving arms.

He graduated from NC State University in 1979 with a degree in Environmental and Product Design and was third in his class. Lon was presented with an Honorable Mention for his designs in Passive Solar Energy, presented by Governor Jim Hunt.

Lon was preceded in death by his brother, Kyle Cook.

Surviving are his sister, Jeanne Layton (David) of Raleigh, NC, and his brother, Dan Cook (Donna) of Sugar Grove, NC. Also surviving are his nephews: Jeremy Layton, Caleb Cook (Stephanie), Jonathan Layton, and Dylan Cook (Dayna).
