Charles Edward “Eddie” Rose, age 69, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019 at James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. He was born in Johnson City, Tennessee, a son of the late Charles “Charlie” Daniel Rose and Agnes Pauline Reed Rose. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Charles Daniel Rose; and one sister, Norma Lee Sluss.
Eddie was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. During his time in service he received the following decorations and citations; National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was the owner and operator of Metal Builders Inc. He was of the Baptist Faith, a member of the Johnson City VFW and loved to mow his yard.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Robin Rose; mother-in-law, Oveda Evans; sister and brother-in-law, Sandy Evans and husband Roger Garland; one niece, Debbie Wilson; one nephew, Tim Sluss and wife Marylou; and several great nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
