Robert William Applegate

Robert William Applegate, our husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 90. Bob enjoyed a passionate life filled with love for his family, friends and helping others less fortunate in the Treasure Coast.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Madeline; daughter Debra and son-in-law Joe Colon, Robert II and daughter-in-law Genyne Applegate and step-son David Mosca; and grandchildren Robert III, Danielle, Lauren, Gabrielle, Mia and Isabella, and six great grandchildren

Bob was born in Jamesburg, NJ and loved the Jersey shore and being in Seaside Park, NJ. He was a long-time member of Seaside Park Yacht Club and resided for 28 years in Ballantrae in Port St. Lucie, FL fulfilling his passions for boating, golfing, family and seeing the world. Bob served in Germany in the U.S. Army Engineers before a successful career in construction management and real estate development.

Bob’s non-stop zest for life and socializing with good friends was only trumped by the love for his family, he will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew him in both New Jersey and Florida.

Family will conduct a memorial service in his honor this summer in New Jersey.
