Eddie is the son of Edward E. Hill Jr. and Rosemary Hill of Jensen Beach, FL. They previously resided in Watertown, Connecticut where Eddie was raised. He is survived by his brother Matthew Hill (Hilary) of Orange, CT, Nephew Silas, and Niece Astoria, Aunts and Uncles; Nancy Voghel (Henry) of Inverness FL, Donald Hill (Linda) of Inverness, FL, Natalie Aresta (Augie) of Wellington, FL, Anthony DaSilva (Mary) of Brewerton, NY and numerous cousins in CT, and FL. He is pre-deceased by his Paternal grandparents Edward and Arline Hill (Waterbury, CT), Maternal grandparents Anthony and Maria DaSilva (Naugatuck, CT) and Uncle Richard “Ricky” Hill (Susan) of Waterbury, CT.
Eddie grew up in Watertown, CT where he was an outstanding athlete and prolific competitor. At a young age Eddie was setting scoring records in basketball. In High School Eddie was a leading scorer and received all-state honors for Watertown H.S. Eddie led the team to a state championship and scored over 1000 points during his H.S. career.
Eddie was also an avid golfer and as a 10-year-old, won numerous tournaments. Eddie led the Watertown High School golf team to a Naugatuck Valley League golf championship. Eddie also achieved All-State honors in golf. He was awarded a golf scholarship to Central Connecticut State University. During his time there he suffered with two herniated discs and became progressively debilitated and unable to compete.
In 2015, Eddie moved to Boynton Beach Florida where he attended Florida Atlantic University and worked in Insurance Sales. Eddie enjoyed living in Florida, spending time with family, eating Mom’s home cooked meals, fishing with Dad, and going to the beach.
Eddie had a profound impact on the lives of others in his short time on this earth with his BIG smile and Huge Heart. He loved his family and always made himself available. Eddie was a beautiful soul that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished.
For those wishing to pay their respects, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday January 7, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Aycock Funeral Home 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd, Jensen Beach, FL 34957.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Eddie's name to Crossroads of Wolcott, CT where funds will be used to unite our local community and create new ways and ideas to combat drug use affecting our youth and provide support for families.
