Born on February 20, 1959, Edward Joseph “EJ” Ewing IV was a devoted husband, beloved father, and dear friend. His vibrant spirit and unwavering enthusiasm served as an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
EJ was an exceptional leader, exemplifying excellence throughout his distinguished career. Prior to his respected role as the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer at Sailfish Point on Hutchinson Island, Florida, he skillfully managed other esteemed establishments including Wachesaw Plantation in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Sun City Hilton Head, and Brays Island Plantation in Sheldon, South Carolina. His expertise and unwavering dedication greatly contributed to the success and growth of these communities.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, EJ and his beloved wife, Tammy, own a 9Round kickboxing franchise, where they coach members and encourage them to exceed their limits. EJ led by example, actively participating in workouts himself, epitomizing his commitment to a healthy and active lifestyle. EJ will be remembered for his kindness, compassion, and contagious laughter. His remarkable gift for making everyone feel valued and loved left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path. His 39-year marriage to his beloved wife, Tammy, was a true testament to the power of love and companionship, inspiring those around them.
EJ is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Ewing, and his children, Cassie Ewing-Jenny, Edward J “Quinn” Ewing V, and Robert Alan Ewing. He is also survived by his siblings, Carey Ewing and Patrick Ewing. EJ was preceded in death by his siblings, Keith Ewing and Sharon Ewing Walker, as well as his parents, Edward J Ewing III and Geraldine Devine Ewing.
He will also be deeply missed by his faithful companion, Cobi, his cherished dog, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.
A celebration of EJ’s remarkable life will be held on July 1st, 2023, from 12 pm to 4 pm at Aycock Funeral Home located on Jensen Beach Boulevard. May his legacy of love, laughter, kindness, dedication to fitness, and exceptional leadership continue to inspire us all.
