Richard J. Mackey

He was born December 6, 1965 in Webster, PA, a son of Nancy Barthole Mackey of Morgantown, WV and the late Richard Ellwood Mackey.

Mr. Mackey was a veteran of the United States Army, with the 82nd Airborne Division and served in Desert Storm.

He was employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, SCI Fayette as a hearing examiner.

Mr. Mackey was a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club, Chapter XVI and the Washington-Greene Adult Baseball League.

On June 20, 2014 he married Jerri Lynn Headlee who survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are a step-son, Kaleb Williams and a step-daughter, Tyler Woolen both of Jefferson; a sister, Sue Willey (Shawn) of Fairmont, WV; 3 nephews, Shawn Willey Jr., David Willey and Devin Watkins.

Deceased in addition to his father is a half-brother, Frank M. Watkins.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc.1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 3, 2014 with the Rev. David Stains officiating. Interment will follow in Garards Fort Cemetery, Garards Fort. Military Rites will be accorded by the United States Army and the American Legion Post #954, Jefferson. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, 301 Grant Street, Suite 900, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15219.
