Betty A. Bartowick Bane

She was born June 24, 1940 in Brownsville, a daughter of Pauline Martin Bartowick Edgar of Fredericktown and the late Joseph Bartowick.

Mrs. Bane was a Licensed Practical Nurse and had worked at one time at the Horizon Senior Care Center in Canonsburg.

She has lived in “Besco” for 43 years.

On May 25, 1957 she married George R. Bane Sr., who survives.

Also surviving in addition to her husband and mother are four children, George R. Bane Jr. and his wife Mary of Clarksville, Timothy B. Bane and his wife Carla of Clarksville, Sherri A. Ashcraft and her husband Steve of McMurray, and Amy Roberts and James Rohrer of Waynesburg; nine grandchildren, Kristen Waggett and her husband Jack of Brownsville, Heather Darr and her husband Joe of Morgantown, WV, Jamie Borzik and Ryan O’Neill of McMurray, Cortney Franklin and her husband Jason of Jacksonville, FL, John Borzik, George R. Bane III, James Roberts, Timothy Bane and Logan Bane; four great grandchildren, Landon Franklin, Carter Darr, McKinley Waggett, and Maxx Darr; a brother, William Bartowick, of Columbus, MS , four sisters, Sophie Stimmell of Jefferson, Judith Bane and husband Steve of Fredericktown, Rosemary Arigoni and husband Walter of Waynesburg and Charlotte Workman of Fredericktown.

Deceased is a brother, Joseph Bartowick Jr. and a son-in-law, James Roberts.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P.
