Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 10 until 11 a.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel, with burial at Pleasant Grove Cemetery of Fayette County.
Nina graduated from the University of Alabama. She taught school at Oakman Elementary, was a corporate Flight planner for 25 years and obtained her private pilot’s license on January 2, 1992. She was an avid golfer that traveled to play golf in places such as Switzerland and Hawaii. She hit her first hole in one in 2008 in Lone Tree Colorado. Nina was the first female umpire in Jasper. She will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Myrtle Earley; siblings, Dean Wilkerson Price, Opal Shirey, Christine “Chuck” Rutledge, Shelva Cooner, and J.W. “Dub” Earley.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Gillott; children, Chris Guthrie, and Phyllis Guthrie (Jerry Files); step-children, Kevin Gillott, Bryan Gillott, and Carly Gillott; grandchildren, Nicholas Guthrie (Mallory), Noah Guthrie, Cody McLemore, and Chance Files; great grandchildren, Lennon Guthrie, and Hendrix Guthrie; sister, Vera May Tidwell; special nieces, Janice Mullins and Brenda Durret, and a host of other relatives and friends.
