Jeffrey Landon Gilmore, 54, passed away Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at Walker Baptist Medical Center.
Family will be receiving friends on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, from 12 until 2 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, burial at Boldo Cemetery. Larry Sherer and Adam Bolton will officiate.
Jeffrey “Dad” worked at Gilmores Reclamation for 38 years. He was a deacon at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for 20 plus years. He loved everyone he came in contact with. He never met a stranger. He was the best husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend anyone could ever ask for. To say he is going to be missed is an understatement. Everyone loved him so much.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Denise Gilmore; father, James Jerry Gilmore; grandparents, Athlene Akins, Ollie Akins, Carrie Gilmore, J.C. Gilmore; and in-laws, Vile Gurganus, Rhonda Gurganus and Tammy Gilmore.
He is survived by his children, Bethany Byars (Joseph), Hunter Gilmore and Malea McCain (Mason); mother, Sherlene Gilmore; brother, Greg Gilmore; mother-in-law, Magdalene Gurganus; brothers-in-law, Marlin Gurganus (Donna), Terry Gurganus (Cathy) and Anthony Gurganus (Libby); sister-in-law, Cynthia Prescott (Gary); and a host of very special nephew and nieces and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Trent Gilmore, Garrett Gilmore, Jay Hyche, Jason Akins, Barry Brown, Ryan Prescott, Caleb Fowler and Gary Prescott.
