Dorothy “Dot” Wilkerson Crump, born July 19, 1929, passed away at her home in Jasper on Monday, October 14, 2019.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 17, 2019, from 11 a.m. till 12:30 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at Walker Memory Gardens at 1 p.m., with Kilgore-Green Funeral Home directing. Reverend Bill Martin will be officiating.
Dot was a model of strength and dignity to her family and friends who loved her so much. She and her husband, Ernest, were married in 1948. They had a deep, abiding love for Jesus, each other, their children, grandchildren and their beloved dog, Dollie. Dot and Ernest had a wonderful life together, full of laughter, joy and love.
Dot was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Crump; her parents, Fred and Lottie B Wilkerson; and a sister, Bobbie W. Nix.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Galbraith (John), Debbie Nations (Randy) and son Mark Crump (Schrell); six grandchildren, Mandy Sutton (Brandon), Eric Crump (Jennilyn), Laura Galbraith, Natalie Laseter (Miles), Bethany Drummond (Josh), and Ryan Nations (Alaina); six great-children with two more on the way; sister, Willodean Wilkerson of Carbon Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the many people who helped Dot over the last year. They also appreciate the way Comfort Care Hospice took care of the entire family over the last four months.
