Laura Ann Phillips, 60, of Jacksonville, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norwood “Jack” and Hazel Ellis Cowell and two brothers, Jimmy Cowell and George Cowell.
She retired from Angie's Restaurant.
She is survived by her husband, Richard R. Phillips Jr.; one son, Richard R. Phillips III and wife Sjeroela; three daughters, Stacey Pearson and husband Willie, Amelia Lindig and Sarah Phillips and husband Grant Jones; one brother, Edward Cowell and wife Donna; two sisters, Jackie Drossner and husband Scott and Sarah Faye Beene and husband Mitch; and six grandchildren, Alexandra, Abrianna and Aliyah Pearson; Grayson and Lucas Lindig and Benyamin Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 15 at Johnson Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Interment will follow at Ellis-Cowell Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
