A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, February 5, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home, Jacksonville with Rev. Stephen Kowalski officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park, Jacksonville.
He was the owner of Roto Rooter Plumbing and a member of Alethia Christian Fellowship.
He is survived by his wife, Cherita Dougherty of the home. Two sons, John Roland Dougherty III of Jacksonville and Tim Brown of Leland. Two Daughters, Sabrenia Thompson of Richlands and Tammy Heuie of Jacksonville. One sister, Deborah Dougherty of Jacksonville.
The family will receive friends 7:00pm-9:00pm, Thursday, at the funeral home.
