David William Aikens, 81 of Maple Hill NC, passed away Sunday at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
David is survived by his wife, Shirley Silence Aikens of Maple Hill, sons Chris B. Aikens and David R. Aikens of Kingman, AZ, daughter Donna Aikens Lee of Jacksonville, a brother Arthur “Butch” Aikens of Punta Gorda, FL, and 2 grandchildren.
A visitation for David will be held on Thursday evening at Johnson Funeral Home of Jacksonville from 7 – 9 PM. Services for David will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Jacksonville on Friday morning at 11 AM with pastor Gary Silence officiating. Interment will follow the service on Friday at Coastal Carolina Veterans Cemetery.
