Wm. Herman Higginbotham passed on to heaven on Friday, October 5, 2012. He was blessed to live to be 94 healthy years. Herman retired as a U.S. Postal Carrier, and was a World War II veteran. A beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and friend to everyone he met. Herman was an active volunteer with 'Seniors on a Mission'. He set an example for us with his positive attitude and unending love of life. We often heard him say 'Jesus is good, ALL the time,' and 'A merry heart doeth good like a medicine.' No one can fill his shoes. Herman was a member of Woodstock Baptist Church since 1951. He was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie June Felts and his second wife Charlie Ruth Palmer. His children are Patricia Walsh (widow of John W.),Wanda Griffin ( step-daughter) and Pamela Winter (Jack). His grandchildren are Daniel Hague (Jennifer) and Brian Hague (Elizabeth), and Geoffrey Griffith (step-grandson). He had 4 great-grandchildren.
