Webb graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and served in the United States Army before embarking on a successful career in sales.
He worked for companies such as Monsanto and DiGiorgio before starting his own business as a sales representative for building supplies materials.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Webb was an avid tennis player and fisherman. He developed a love for tennis as a ball boy at the US Open in Forest Hills, NY, while his passion for fishing took him to destinations around the world, including Brazil and Canada. However, his favorite spot was the Mulchatna River in Alaska, where he enjoyed taking his family on special vacations for 14 years.
Webb was an active member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, where he served on the vestry and sang in the choir. He remained extremely close to his childhood friends from Forest Hills, The Kew-Forest School, and The Community House, and was fondly known to them as "Willie."
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ausma Millers Wade, and his children Jennifer Sharp, Chrissy Miletto (Steve Miletto), and Matt Wade (Michelle Wade). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Wade Miletto (Ketki Desai), Paul Miletto, Amanda Gary, Matthew Wade, Jonathan Wade, Hannah Sharp, and Emma Sharp.
Webb will be remembered for his kind spirit, sense of humor, and his unwavering commitment to his family and church.
A memorial service will be held on April 1, 2023 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church (2961 University Blvd N, Jacksonville, FL 32211).
Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM and funeral services will start at
11:30 AM.
