Bill was born in Savannah, GA. He had a successful career with the railroad, starting out in the mechanic shop and retiring as Director of Labor Relations at CSX. He was an excellent golfer, train lover, Georgia Bulldog fan and most recently a quick-witted player of online games. He was always quite hard to beat, which made for a fun challenge.
Bill was dedicated to his family and friends. He was predeceased by his son, William Linwood Morse.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Linda, daughter, Sharon (Bill) Mortimer and step-daughter Jennifer Jones, his sister, Shirley Guthrie, two grandsons, Daniel and Matthew Crews, one great-grandson, Isaiah Crews and a great-great granddaughter, Malaya Crews. He will be forever cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
A graveside service for William will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225.
