William H. Baker, 81, passed peacefully in his home on July 2, 2010 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born in Cadiz, Ohio and was a Master Electrician. He was a devout member of Mandarin Baptist Church and served his country proudly during the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He had special skills in wood-working and enjoyed fishing and hunting as well. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Ruth Baker and brother, John Baker. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife of 19 years, Martha Imler Baker; sons, Kenneth (Debbie) Baker, Gary (Melony) Baker; daughter, Linda (Joe) Curtis; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 step-daughters, Robin Batdorf, Cindy Danese; 6 step-grandchildren; 7 step- great-grandchildren; extended relatives and treasured friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 10 a.m. and Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home, Mandarin Chapel.
