Born March 15, 1943 in Bad-Axe, Michigan to the late Ward and Irene Pangborn. Wayne was one of five children.
Wayne later moved to Durham, NC where he lived for more than 30 years. He retired from Cometech as a maintenance technician. Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a hard worker, had a quick wit, and was a friend to many. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Wayne was preceded in death by his sister Aloys Armstrong. He is survived by his three children; Sandra (Jeff) Stephan, David (Naomi) Pangborn, Angie (Shane) Hamilton; his brother Lynwood Pangborn; sisters Mereta Terjesen and Edith (Clark) Edwards; his grandchildren, Crystal, Daniel, Brenna, Sara, Luke, Isaac, Steele and Mitchell and six great grandchildren.
A private memorial will be planned at a later date.
