Vivian E. Johnson Hendrix, 80, went home to the Lord on August 3, 2015 at Macclenny Nursing Home. She was born in Sydney, FL on November 5, 1934 to Edwin Elbert Johnson and Maudell Edge Johnson, who preceded her in death. Vivian was kind, thoughtful, generous and a lifelong servant of the Lord and the Pentecostal Holiness faith. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend to all who know her. She loved her family and was devoted, caring and nurturing to her family and friends. Vivian is remembered for her warmth, gentle touch and kisses. She loved to cook for her family and friends and was known as a great cook. She is predeceased by her husband of 49 years John Joseph Hendrix, Sr. Vivian is survived by 4 brothers and a sister. She is predeceased by 4 brothers and a sister. She is survived by her son; John, Jr. (Beth) and her daughters; Janell Bowers (Steve) and Cheryl Chapman (Robert). She has 6 grandchildren; Jonathon, Steven, Bobby, John III, Kimberly and Aubrey and 7 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a visitation on Thursday, August 6 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, August 7 at 10:00 at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home with the interment immediately following at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
