Born and raised in Oceanside, NY, and passed away in Jacksonville, FL
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Melissa Pisciotta Happ; his beloved bird Pookie; one brother; other family members and many friends. He is predeceased by his parents, two brothers and Buttercup.
He proudly served in the United States Army Security Agency (ASA), as part of a specialized installation team who were sent to various military sites along the border between East and West Germany, and many other field stations throughout Europe, to install and maintain highly classified communications equipment.
Tom excelled in the field of electronics and went on to work in telecommunications as a technician in the installation and maintenance of computer and telephone systems for businesses.
“Happ” enjoyed Amateur Radio from a young man to the present, both as a hobby and for community service. He belonged to different Ham Radio clubs in New York, Florida, Maryland, and even through the military in Augsburg, Germany. He talked to thousands of people from all around the world. His other great passion was his Corvettes!
His sense of humor, wit, wisdom and uniqueness will be greatly missed by all who knew him. There was no one like “Happ”!
There will be no funeral services at this time; however there will be a military honors ceremony and remembrance at a later date and he will eventually be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
