Alice loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and trusted Him for everything. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Alice was passionate about the future of her family and prayed fervently for each and every one of them. Her greatest ambition was to see all of her children and loved ones in a personal relationship with Jesus to trust him for provisions, healing, relationships, and eternal life. She was a well-respected mighty prayer warrior as God heard and answered her prayers in supernatural ways.
Throughout her life, Alice was deeply committed to her family. She raised her eleven children, mostly on her own and many of her grandchildren as her husband, William Dudley Bell, retired Naval Master Chief, after 20 years of service, passed away while some of the children were still very young. She is survived by her children: Jeff Lawley, Steven Bell, Melody Bell Martinez, Marlilyn Spurlock Bell (passed away January 17, 2017), William Bell, Timothy Bell, Peter Bell, Christopher Bell, Alicia Bell, Joel Bell, and Amy Bell. Each of her children will carry forward her legacy of strength and love for Jesus.
Alice lived a remarkable life, in every aspect. Her passing is a tremendous loss to all who had the privilege of knowing her, yet her spirit and memories will continue to inspire us. She remains in our hearts, as a testament to the power of Jesus' love, strength, and forgiveness.
Services were held in her honor on July 14, 2023. She was be laid to rest next to her father, Robert Yarbrough, and mother, Alice (Elrod)Yarbrough.
