Shirley Ann Nichols, 84, of Jacksonville passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 surrounded by her children.
She was born in Jacksonville, Florida, grew up in Riverside and attended Landon High School. She worked for GE Capital for 39 years before retirement in 1998. She loved gardening, her cats, working puzzles and watching baseball.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Miller Scruggs and Bertha Elizabeth Sagin Scruggs.
She is survived by her sister Annette Mitchell of Nashville, TN, her children Vernon J Nichols Jr, Nancy Rafada, Patricia Evans, Linda Gnagie, Raleigh Nichols and four grandchildren.
The family thanks the doctors and nurses who cared for her at PAM Acute Care Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at Hardage Giddens Funeral Home at Greenlawn Cemetery on September 26 at 1:00.
