Sharon Kay Mitchell, 75, of Jacksonville, Florida, daughter of Gene Church and Eva Garland was born, May 26, 1949, in Johnson City, Tennessee passed away November 2, 2024, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Gene Church and Eva Garland, husband Paul Norman Mitchell, and daughter Jennifer Lea Mitchell.
She is survived by her four sons, Jeff (Tina) Mitchell of Fernandina Beach, Florida, Greg (Kellie) Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, and Anthony Mitchell of Jacksonville, Florida. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jonathan Mitchell, Christopher Mitchell, and Brandon Mitchell.
She worked for many years as an accounts payable specialist before ending her work career with Georgia-Pacific Corporation. She loved just being at home and spending time with her family. She was a caring, selfless individual who always put others’ needs ahead of her own. She was always there to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed.
