It is with great sadness that the family of Sharon Ridenour Davis announce her passing. Sharon, age 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at her beloved home in Jacksonville, Florida.
Sharon was born May 11, 1946, in Jacksonville, to Ralph and Marlo (Hansen) Ridenour Jr. She attended Terry Parker High School where she participated in a work study program finding the employment that would become a great joy in her life. She married Cecil Davis on June 22, 1963.
Sharon worked as a corporate secretary with Independent Parts Warehouse, Inc., where she became an invaluable and integral asset contributing to the long term success of the business for 42 years. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis she reluctantly retired.
Sharon lived for her job and her family. She spent the last years of her life selflessly caring for her friends and family. She adored her little dogs, Dusty and Duchess. She loved Elvis Presley and thought fudge ripple ice cream was a major food group. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out. Her strength and kindness were just some of what made her such an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Cecil, daughters Marlo (Chuck), Karen and grandchildren Alyssa and Rob. She was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Marlo and only brother Bruce.
