Sally Palmer Kurtz, widow of Robert E. Kurtz, died in Jacksonville, FL, Monday, Nov 1st, 2010. Mrs. Kurtz was born in Miami, FL February 24,1927 to pioneer ophthalmologist Bascom Palmer, MD and Helen Ericsson Palmer. She attended the Cushman School in Miami, Chatham Hall in Danville, Virginia, and graduated from Cornell University. Mrs. Kurtz's interests centered on her family, gardening and reading.
She is survived by her three sons: David Brooks Kurtz (Anita) of Miami; Bascom Palmer Kurtz (India), of Jacksonville; and Eric Kurtz, MD (Diana) and their sons Troy & Oliver of Vero Beach, FL. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Palmer Wardropper, of Durham, North Carolina. The memorial service & reception will be held on Tue. Nov. 16th at 6:00 pm at the
Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St. John's Bluff Rd N., Jacksonville, FL 32225. A donation may be made in Sally's name to the Jacksonville Public
Library, Regency Branch.
