Hi this is david brown. I was the last lead singer for Jynx. I really enjoyed my time with the guys. Salem was an awesome guy. I remember him as very kind then always smiling and enjoying life. I am so glad to find out that he was Saved by our Lord. Jesus ChristI will look forward to seeing him soon. 
I really want to be there today, but I just can't because of my job , unfortunately, when you own a business, sometimes everything relies on you, which is the case today. I wanted to send my condolences in prayers for the family. God bless you all..

Sal,as he was known to all the neighbors here on Oxbow, was a kindhearted man I meant and as a neighbor  across the street. 
  When we first talked he seemed to have a gentle spirit about him and we would spend time talking about The Lord Jesus Christ.  Many  times he would pull out of his driveway  and always  wave, but there were times when he maybe  was troubled and would drive up to my place ,stop me from whatever I was doing and ask if I had time to pray with him. I most say it was an absolute honor  for a chance to share  in a time together just there  in the yard in God's  presence.  The Bible says that "where 2 or 3 are gathered  in his name, there He will also". Just know that though he is not with us now, that if we believe  as I am sure ,by brother sal's  on testimony  to me that he ask
 Jesus  into his heart , that one day we will gather  around God  throne as his children. Amen

My Lifetime Brother. I officially met Sal in my Senior Year at ED White HS.  We were student aides and I heard that he was in a band.  We didn't talk much at first, but my curiosity got the best of me... About 2-3 weeks into our silent presence to one another, I asked him if he played guitar, which I already knew.  He looked at me with this crazy stare, but confidently said "Yeah.., I play a little guitar."  When I think about that moment, I knew we were in for a lifetime ride.  It was 40+ years of my fondest and lowest moments, but we were always there for each other.  I was his co-pilot in the Jynx band.   He was my best Man in my marriage to Sheila.  We just took care of each other you know?  I have way too many memories to mention, but I know I lost a part of my Heart when he passed.  My most sincere prayers go out to the Bedran Family who I consider my own, and Love THEM ALL at the highest level. I know that everyone in our circle feel the greatest loss of our friend and brother.

Roger "Rog" Cenizal

So sorry to hear of Salim’s passing. He spent a lot of time at our house in the old neighborhood, playing and listening to music. We also made many trips to Normandy Mall. Prayers for his family.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Salim's family and all who knew and loved him.

Salim was my best friend growing up.  We became friends playing marbles at the bus stop in 6th grade.  The next year we  played YMCA football together.  He played running back and was very fast.  I remember him running for his first touchdown.  He taught me how to play pool. Some time in the 8th/9th  grade, we started playing guitar together and the rest is history.  We started our first  band in 1979.  Then JYNX, the following year, during our sophomore year in high school.  We went our separate ways when I left the band a couple of years after high school, but I still have good memories of Salim and our time together as friends and bandmates all those years ago.  May he rest in peace.

May you be received in Heaven to be in the presence of our Father full of peace and light.

My heart goes out to all of you. I'm Eddie Bias daughter and I have known JR & Sal for many years and grew up around them and the members of the band Jynx .  I have so many memories of Sal with my dad.  I pray that God keeps his arms around the family and keeps every close. Rest easy my friend until I see you again. 
P.S  Thank you Sal & JR for looking after me when Eddie died in 88.

I met Salim when we were in 7th or 8th grade and always considered him a great guy and friend. From  our time at Stilwell and his early band Pegasus to Ed White and his band Jynx and him owning West LA bar,  he was there for his friends. May his family find peace at this time and know his memory will live on not only in family but those who knew him.

My deepest condolences to your family.  I went to high school with him - and will for ever be Jynx Jams - to me.  Take care
