Ruth Salcedo

Ruth is predeceased by her grandson Brandon, both of her parents, and her husband Carlos.

On a beautiful day in early May of 1949, Ruth was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. She grew

up in Colombia and later graduated from Cambridge College. She married Carlos Salcedo in the

late summer of 1967. In addition to her love for fishing and cooking, Ruth had a passion for dancing.

Ruth is survived by her children Claudia (Carl), Patricia (German), Diana (Johnny), and Juan (Noa), her grandchildren Marquis (Cassie), Madalyn, Brandon, Alex, Vanessa, Cynthia, Samantha, Gabby, Deanna, Cristian, Carlos, Julian, and her great-grandsons Jonathon and Jett. She also leaves to cherish her memory her sister Vera Paez, her brother Carlos Howard, her nieces Monica Graves and Sandra Sanchez, who she loved as though they were her own daughters. She will also be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews Jessica, Freddie, Charlie, Christopher, Sarah, and Tony, and her Godson Manuel Salcedo.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 5 from 5-7pm at the Templo de Oracion Pentecostal Church, 1385 Delmar Street, Jacksonville, FL 32205. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 3pm at the Templo de Oracion church. A graveside service will immediately follow and will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
