Rosa L. Lee

Rosa Lee (Ganey) Lee, age 96, passed away April 23, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL. She was a member of Marietta Church of Christ. While her husband was in basic training in Los Angeles, California in 1943 during World War II, she worked for Lockheed Aircraft. She and her husband enjoyed many stage plays put on by movie stars while stationed in Los Angeles. Mrs. Some of her favorite memories were traveling throughout the United States and Europe, going to Gator football games with her friends and having her family over for birthday parties. Lee was employed with Florida Motorcycle Company for twenty-two years. Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, James Herschell Lee after sixty one years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lamoureux (El); two sisters Lillian Koontz and Ruth Rhoden (Jamie); and two brothers Raymond Ganey (Betty) and Curtis Ganey (Joanie); three grandsons Kevin, Bryan , and Stephen Lamoureux; eight great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Ashtyn, Morgan, Taylor, Gavin, Cameron, Brantley, and Greyson Lamoureux. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Saturday April 27, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32205 with Reverand Curtis Ganey and Jamie Rhoden officiating. In lieu of flowers family is requesting memorial contributions be made in Rosa’s honor to Daniel Memorial Children’s Home.
