Robert E. Falk Jr., 64, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011. He was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, FL. He graduated from Florida Central Academy in 1966 and from Jacksonville University in 1972. Rob served in the Coast Guard Reserve and was honorably discharged in 1973. He retired from Convergys after working there for twenty years.
Rob was a member of the Rudder Club, Serenata Beach Club, and Mandarin United Methodist Church. Rob was an avid ham radio operator (KE4QWN). He also enjoyed listening to music, boating, fishing and soaking in the sun at the beach with Christy and Chloe. Rob loved telling jokes and making everyone laugh. His smile and laughter were contagious to all.
Rob was predeceased by his parents, Robert E. Falk and Martha K. Falk. Rob has left behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife Christy Falk of thirty years, his daughter Chloe Falk, his son Eric Falk, his sister Betsy Clark (Allan), his aunt Jean Curran, several cousins, nieces and great nephews, and numerous friends.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with the Memorial Service starting at 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 24th in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin, with Pastor Missy Hart as Officiant.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
