This is such sad news...I credit the Col. with not only introducing me to the Marine Corps but, my subsequent career with NSA...if he would not have stopped me that summer day and instructed me to sign up for ROTC, I am fairly certain my life would have gone in a different direction...thank you for being there when I so needed direction...even if I did not know I did at the time. Rest in power Devil Dog...we have the watch...and the watch is secure...GOD Bless...🙏🏽

Colonel Bob Esposito was a man of HIGH character, integrity, tenacity, and love for our country.  He molded men and women at Jean Ribault High School through our Marine Corps Junior ROTC Program for many years. He was stern, demanding, witty, and a force that dispensed discipline to each and every student on campus. He was a fair, good, man. He and Sargent Roberts were the BEST thing to happen to us at Ribault. Our deepest heartfelt condolences to his family. Semper Fidelis, sir!

To my Pop-Pop,

Going to the beach, working in your shop, drawing pictures, playing games, telling stories, big belly laughs until our sides hurt...these are the things I’ll miss the most. The memories that we made together are sacred. My fondest childhood memories all include you. Every holiday that you came to town for or every visit you made was always so fun that I never wanted you to leave. It’s excruciating trying to find the right words for how I feel about losing you. I’m heartbroken and I miss you so much it hurts, but I am so unbelievably grateful for the time that I was able to spend with you and I know that you’ll always be there to look out for me. I love you, Pop Pop. 

I have no words to describe how upset I am knowing you are gone. I remember listening to your amazing stories and drawing pictures with you when I was little. It was a big part of my childhood and I will never forget it. You were the best grandpa and I wish I could tell you that I love you one last time. I can't in person but I can right here. I love you very much pop. Rest in peace. 

Dear Pappy,
I hold close to my heart many fond memories spent with you and Mimi growing up... Especially the time you made me sit at your kitchen table until after dark to finish my lima beans (yuck)! :) You're the one who sparked my fascination with the piano, which shaped my life in so many ways -- I'll never forget your rendition of the Marine Corps hymn on our old upright. I remember you letting me, Bobby, and Joel all try our hand at cutting your front yard with that old push reel mower, and spinning us up to the old flea market to pick out whatever little goodies we could find. I will always be grateful for the interest in and support of my endeavors that you and Mimi showed me growing up, and especially for being there during so many of those piano recitals! There are so many happy memories of birthdays and Thanksgivings and Christmases spent together that I will forever hold near and dear to my heart. Most of all though, I feel so fortunate and grateful that Sofia and little Simon got to meet and know their great-grandfather. You will be forever missed Pappy. You made me proud to be an Esposito.
