Bob, or “PawPaw” as he was affectionately known, spent 30 years serving in the United States Navy, 20 years active duty, 10 years reserve duty. He served for two tours in Vietnam and was awarded the bronze star. He traveled far and wide in his years of active duty. Upon retiring from the Navy, he spent his time as a carpenter, using his free time to make special pieces of furniture and ornate pens for his loved ones. You could find him in his shop, surrounded by the smell of sawdust and the hum of power tools in his retirement years. He was known for his generosity, sense of humor, and love for his family.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Jewelle Craft, and his son Michael Craft. Bob is survived by his son Robert “Carl” Craft (Terri), sister Polly Phillips, brother Charles Craft (Carol), grandchildren Kristen Fry (Craig), Robert “Drew” Craft, and Caitlin Wimberley (Joe) as well as his great-grandchildren: Ava Fry, Makaila Fry, Logan Craft, Callie Wimberley, and Mabry Wimberley.
