Robert D. Carpenter (Bob), 69, died May 3, 2019, surrounded by his family, after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Bob was born September 17, 1949, in Tarrytown, New York to James and Elisabeth Carpenter.
A retired chemist, Bob was raised in Ohio and graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Bob will be sadly missed by his wife of 44 years, Gail; son, Derek (Donna) of Annapolis, MD; daughters, Lauren (John) Davis of Jacksonville, FL, and Leigh Carpenter of Atlanta, GA, and his brother, James of Findlay, Oh. He will be fondly remembered as Pop-Pop by his 2 grandchildren Ellie & Ethan Davis.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bob's life on Wednesday, May 8 from 6-8 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
