Robena F. Beason, 87, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008. Mrs. Beason was a native of Holly Springs, Mississippi and a longtime resident of Jacksonville. She had retired after 33 years with Swisher King Edward Cigar Factory. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dean Beason and two children, Bobby Dean Beason and Betty Jo Beason. Survivors include three daughters, Julia Day, Peggy Wallace and June Adams; one son, William E. Beason; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 4, in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, with Rev. Anthony Rister officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday (TODAY) at the funeral home.
