Rita Frances Davidson

DAVIDSON Rita F. Nanny Davidson, 68, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011. She was born on June 25, 1943 in Jacksonville, Florida to Joseph W. Mehrtens and Edith L. Mathis. Rita was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, son, Timothy Hardin and her brothers, Leo and Michael Mehrtens. She is survived by her son, John Hardin; 2 daughters, Lisa Jordan and Lori Odell (Jason); 3 brothers, Joseph Mehrtens III., Charles Mehrtens (Vickie) and Richard Mehrtens (Van); Five granddaughters, two grandsons and two great- grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. She was blessed by three very special friends Phyllis Quinn of 44 yrs., Raymond Tessier (Janice) and Barbara Lashley. Rita was a loving, caring woman who was a friend to all that she knew. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. Rita was an avid traveler who recently spent time in Italy and France. She also spent a great deal of time traveling the United States. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Monday, November 14, 2011 at Hardge-Giddens Edgewood Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A Celebration Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, 11:00am, November 15, 2011 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 2609 Park St., Jacksonville, FL 32204.
