Richard Marion Decubellis

Richard Marion DeCubellis, 70, of Jacksonville FL, passed away on Saturday November 20, 2021 of natural causes, peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Elfers, Florida on April 21, 1951. Richard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. He graduated from Gulf High School, then joined the military; first with the Army, then the Navy where he obtained a degree as an electrician. He took pride in his combined 25 years of military service, and after retiring from the Navy as a CWO2, he went on to work for Ring Power, and then retired from there after over 20 years of service. Richard was a quiet, soft spoken man, but his presence was loud. He had stories to tell and wisdom to share. Richard loved to fish and hunt, but more than that, he loved spending time with his loved ones.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Spinks DeCubellis; with whom he shared over 50 years of love and loyalty together; their children, daughter, Lisa Kelley (Brian) of Middleburg FL, son, Michael David DeCubellis (Megan) of Jacksonville FL; grandchildren, Brandon Kelley (Lexi) of Middleburg FL, Richard A. DeCubellis, Zachary Kelley (Shannon), and Alexandria Kelley of Jacksonville FL; great granddaughter, Lydia Kelley; as well as siblings, Donna Beatty (Brent) of Birmingham AL, Debbie Monson of Birmingham AL, Christopher DeCubellis (Tracy) of Archer FL, and Tina Kyle (Perry) of Cleveland TN.

Richard is predeceased by his father, David Lewis DeCubellis; mother, Geneva Lonas DeCubellis; and grandson, Jack Michael DeCubellis.

Richard’s gentle spirit, love and life will be honored at his home church Bethel Temple Assembly of God on Monday November 29, 2021. There will be a visitation for all at 11:00 am with service to follow at 12:00 pm. From there Richard will be laid to rest at 2:00 pm with full military honors at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. Richard will be greatly missed, forever loved, and always honored.
