Ray Bandy of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015. Born January 1,1922 in Parsons, Kansas. He graduated High School in Parsons. He joined the army shortly afterward and served proudly in WWII. After the war he migrated to New York in pursuit of his artstic dreams and met a dream of another sort. He met the former Frances Wilkerson and they were married 30 years until her untimely death in 1977. He worked diligently for the Railroad until his retirement in 1984. Then he was able to pursue his love of acting and painting. He was quite active in the local theatre in every way possible, acting, writing, and painting scenery. But actually his true love was the Vintage Players. He received and gave much joy due to his involvement in the group. We will miss his kind and gentle nature. He made a friend of everyone and will be missed.
He is survived by one daughter; Lynn, nephew; Gary Bandy; niece, Doris Bandy; and great-nephew, Coleman Bandy.
