Phyllis Jean Frazier passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Peoria IL to Harry Earnest Growe and Eugenia Pluma True. Phyllis received a nursing degree from Bradley University and a master’s degree in nursing from Charity Hospital School of Anesthesia. She retired from a successful, decades-long career as a CRNA with the VA hospital system.
Phyllis married Wallace Neal Frazier on June 7, 1952. They had four children together and had been married for 70 years at the time of her death. They were avid travelers and together, they explored much of the world. She was an exceptional woman will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Harry E Growe and Eugenia P True, and her brother, Glenn Growe. She is survived by her husband; her children, Karen Kay Lusky, Roderick Neal Frazier, Lauren Lynn Cierpial, and Richard Lee Frazier; her nine grandchildren; and her five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 pm, March 26, 2022, at Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. John's Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225. Interment will follow at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Phyllis’ name to the American Heart Association.
