Pauline Panter Rhoden, age 82, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2018. Pauline was born on September 8, 1936 in Carbon Hill, Alabama. She lived in Jacksonville and was a heart tech at Baptist Medical Center, downtown Jacksonville. After retiring 25 years ago, she and her husband Billy Rhoden resided in St. Augustine at Colee Cove. She was a loving and generous person that always cooked lots of fabulous food for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She loved to fish and knew how to fry the best. Pauline will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Pauline is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Panter Manasco ("Granny", 9/30/1914 - 7/15/1998); her step father Clifton Manaso ("Pop", 8/31/1920 - 9/2/2009); her husband Billy Rhoden ("Dad", 10/7/1934 - 11/19/2011); her oldest brother Paul Panter; her son Jackie Madison (1998); and nephew Stanley Panter. Pauline is survived by her loving sister, Patty Griffin; her brother and brother's wife Jimmy and Shirley Manasco; sister and sister's husband Linda and Jimmy Rogers; son Terry G. Madison and his wife Roberta Carioggia Madison; grandson Billy Madison; granddaughter Sabrina Madison; granddaughter Nikki Madison; great-granddaughter Jadin, Raygon, and Kaylen; daughter Paula Madison; son Jamie Madison and his three children; daughter Amanda and granddaughter Alexi; daughter Patricia Ann Madison; her brother's (Paul) children Pam, Kim, Clevis, Debra, and Donna; her brother's (Jimmy) children Jimmy Manasco, Jr., Kevin Manasco (Cathy) and their children Troy and Ann and their boys Taylor and Brad Blum, daughter Christy, Erik, and Aaralyn; her sister Linda and Jimmy Rogers and their sons Roy Lisenby and Roy's children Crystal and Chris, son Ray (Renee) and their son Zack Rogers; and many other nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park. A lunch will be served at the home of Jimmy Manasco, 8983 Noroad, located off Old Middleburg and 103rd Street, after the graveside, for the family and friends.
HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERSIDE MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, is serving the family.
