Paul Edward Williams born November 11, 1940 to the late Freddie and Blanche Williams of Jacksonville and he died December 22, 2012 after losing his battle with cancer. He fought a valiant fight over the past few months.
Paul was a Jacksonville native and with an exception of his military service spent all of his time in Jacksonville. He was a graduate of Paxson High School and he joined the Army and spent four years in Germany where he met his wife of 51 years, Elke Williams.
He was employed by CSX where he retired after 32 years of dutiful service.
He also served for 12 years as the secretary and treasure of the UTU 903.
In addition to his wife he leaves to cherish his memory 3 sons, Ronnie Williams of Augusta Georgia, Ricky Williams (Lisa), Freddie Williams (Jennifer) both of Jacksonville. Grandchildren, Lindsi (Chris), Samatha Rae, Greatgrand child Gunner. Brothers, James Williams (Joy), Henry Williams, Sister Jane Justise (Elmer) and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Paul’s life will be held Saturday December 29th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hardage-Giddens Blanding Chapel 5753 Blanding Blvd. Jacksonville, Florida. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations may made in Paul’s honor to Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
