Patricia Ann Ricks

Patricia Ann Ricks went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at the age of 80 years old following a battle with Dementia. She was born on 3/31/40 in Jacksonville, FL. Patricia was very classy, charismatic, stunningly beautiful and loving. Patricia spent many years with Watson Realty where she was their top Realtor and then became a Real Estate Trainer. Later in life she was an ordained minister, chaplain at Specialty Hospital and President of NE Aglow. Patricia loved studying her Bible, riding horses, dancing, traveling and spending time with her family in the mountains of TN. She always had a youthful outlook on life! Though her health declined after being diagnosed with Dementia, she never stopped smiling and enjoying life. “Grandma Pat” spent many days helping with the homeschooling of her granddaughters (she was an expert in giving spelling words) as well as riding along to all their activities and helping with dance.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Howell and Thora Sophia Pickard as well as her two husbands George Jacobs and Milton Ricks. Patricia is survived by her sister Barbara Dorsey (Bill), brother Robert (Diane) Pickard, children Joy Hicks, Jeff (Dawn) Jacobs; grandchildren, Jason King, Christopher King, Daniel Hicks, Makayla Hicks, Trinity Patricia Jacobs, Sophia Jacobs and Marissa Jacobs. The family would like to thank the Terrace of Jacksonville for taking such great care of our precious grandma and mom. Their continued love and concern were so appreciated during this difficult time. We also appreciate community Hospice for their care and compassion. Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home, 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207 is serving the family. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2020 from 10:00am-11:00am at the funeral home. Funeral services to begin at 11:00am with interment to follow at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Cemetery.
