It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Michael David Carloni. Michael passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the age of 65, after suffering a heart attack in his Florida home. He will be loved and missed for eternity.
Michael was born at Quincy City Hospital and grew up in Quincy, Massachusetts. He was the much-loved spouse of Cindy Carloni, formally of Marshfield, Massachusetts and currently of Ponte Vedra, Florida and father of Leigh Rush of Boston, Massachusetts. He is preceded in death by his brother Lawrence of Plymouth, Massachusetts, brother John of Sandwich, Massachusetts, sister Denise of Weymouth, Massachusetts and sister Teresa of Weymouth, Massachusetts. He was a new "Papa" to two beautiful grandchildren, Parker Christopher (2.5 years old) and Hadley Charlotte (13 months). He absolutely cherished his family beyond measure and would always put his family first.
Michael graduated from Quincy High School in 1976 and went on to play semi pro football in Boston at night, while working in the roofing contractors union during the day. Not too long after, he started his company, Paramount Roofing and Construction, and has been in business for over 30 years. Michael took immense pride in his work. He worked six days a week for 30 plus years and his work ethic was incredible. One of his proudest achievements was his daughter Leigh. Over the years, Michael never missed any of Leigh's soccer games, and was her biggest fan and supporter. He loved going on vacations, especially to Lake Winnipesaukee, watching and betting on football, drinking a glass of scotch with only three ice cubes and enjoying a good cigar, while blasting Bob Marley. He could go on for hours telling stories about growing up with his Quincy Point friends and would laugh so hard, he would cry.
Michael's happy place was his new home in Ponte Vedra with his loving wife and their dog, Sunny. He loved to drive their golf cart around town and enjoyed driving in their red Jeep Wrangler with the top down. Michael and Cindy were married for 41 years this past October. They had an unbreakable bond, and a loving marriage filled with so many adventures, memories, and countless laughs.
Michael was the most loving husband, father, papa, brother, son, uncle, and friend that we could have ever asked for. To say we are heartbroken is an understatement. He will be missed more than words can articulate and we hope to continue to make him proud, remember and honor him everyday.
